Gah! I have the rest of today to find someone to either come and walk Odin for us mid day or to get him into doggy day care for at least the next 4 days (rest of this week and next monday). I wish mastifflover was on as I know there is a doggy day care near her that is near where my BF works! Grr... I don't really have the $$ for it, but I was asked to come in and shadow a worker for a possible job and I can't give that up!

Anyone have any websites bookmarked for dog walkers etc?

Also wanted to add that I'm VERY nervous about letting some stranger have a set of keys to my house...

I'm in Brampton. I emailed and called a few places. They are checking to see if they can get a walker on short notice. One place I called doesn't do brampton anymore, but referred me to one that seems hopefull!

I guess they just keep your keys always right? Because they would need them from day to day.

Found one! I got a hold of a place called Buster's Buddies (Buster is a boxer-owner of the business's dog). They have two locations (at least) who do business, one in Barrie, one in Brampton. Very professional. The dog walker showed up with a portfolio of credentials (references, proof of insurance, first aid certificate). She wrote down everything on a special page she puts in file for Odin. I was VERY impressed. $15 per walk. Minimum 30 minutes but if she doesn't have another appointment right away sometimes she spends longer and that's free. She will give Odin some eye lube for his dry eye, take him out for a walk. If it's too hot, just out for a pee.

I would recommend them to anyone needing a dog walker!
