Soft paws

Question:
I have been learning about alternatives to declawing, and my breeder suggested softpaws.
I was wonderring--- does anyone on this forum use softpaws??? What is your experience???? Do you put the softpaws on? Or your groomer? Or you vet?
Could you post a pic of them wearing the softpaws------((that website i posted has cute pics... but hard to see the "product" on the cat-- you cannot enlarge the pics on it ))
Personally, I think I will go with the purple or the pink
I thought it was just tooooooooooooooo adorable that they have "xmas colors & halloween colors

People have them, and I don't think I've heard a bad review. I would suggest that when you get your kitten that you train it to scratch in the appropriate places while it's wearing softpaws. Then once it's trained (which is really easy to do, btw) you won't have to keep buying them.

Answer:
The #1 reason for me to get it is- declawing IS NOT AN OPTION
#2--- my daughter is terrified of cats that scratch....... my sis-in-law has the CUTEST kitten, but likes to dig into skin when playing!
#3
+ Cost is not an issue in my household-- i don't mind paying up to $60 a year per kitty for softpaws((uhhhhh i did the math based on the website & if i applied the softpaws myself))
I wish I could see a cat in person with the softpaws.......... just SO CUTE!

Here's a picture of Jasmine wearing the purple ones - you can't see them wonderfully, but its the best I have...
If you start young, and if your cat tolerates having their nails clipped/paws handled, softpaws are wonderful, and easy to apply. I always applied them myself on Otis. He complained a little, but didn't notice them once they were on. Jasmine was not so willing - she still doesn't like anyone touching her paws... I had them first applied at the vet when she was under to be fixed, and then fought with her a couple of other times, but her scratching wasn't really bad and it was more stressful on both of us getting them on, so I just let them fall off - and since she was always fighting with Otis, i just let his fall off too...
I've thought a few times about trying again - i really miss the colored toes. Many people asked if I painted them when they first met the kitties, and the colors really were a part of their personalities and identities...
