Hi everyone, We just got a 8 week old female kitten we named Peaches. I know the basics about cat care since we have a 6 year old cat. We got our got as an adult though. I'm not to familiar with how to care for a baby kitten except that she needs kitten food. So I was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers, like whats the best brand food to feed and should I feed wet or dry? We've been feeding our older cat the Nutro Indoor dry food, but I've read somewhere that canned food is supposed to be healthier for cats. Is this true? Thanks for anything you can tell me.

Canned food certainly IS better!! Glad you've already heard it! Means word is finally getting around! lol

As to what brands to feed, well now you've got to learn how to read the ingredients! That's the most fun part about this game! Generally good brands are: Innova, Natural Balance, Wellness, Felidae, etc. Most of those are "all life stages" so they dont have specific kitten formula, they're good to feed BOTH your cats!
