Sooooooo lucky............long

Question:
My college roomate and best friend had come from Chicago to attend my brother's bachelor party on 1/8/05. I picked him up at the airport 1/7/2005 and he stayed with us this past weekend. We left for the bachelor party at 7:30 pm 1/8 and returned home at 5:30 am 1/9. I had several people crash there (as it was necessary). My brother slept in the front room where the pull-out sofa is. My roomie was in the guest room, and another guy was out in the family room on the sofa.
After we all got up, we left for a late lunch. My brother and his fiance, me and my gf, and my roomie all left the house around 1:30 pm. We finished lunch around 2:45 pm and brother and fiance went home, and I, my gf and roomie left for BWI airport. Roomie's flight left at 4:10. We drop roomie off, head home and have to stop for gas on the way. I decided to get a car wash also, as I still wasn't thinking too clearly, but it did need a wash. We then go the grocery store to get Coco and Wittle some turkey meat, then finally arrive back home after 5:00 pm. My gf notices what looks like an open window. An open window???? She runs for the house hoping to find the window was shut, but it WAS OPEN.
Here's the lucky part. Both of the guys were still inside!!! I either have really good cats, or they were unaware of the window being open, or they went out sniffed around.....got bored and came back inside. I'm not sure which happened. We only take them outside on leashes, and they usually sleep during the late afternoon. I thanked God and my lucky stars that they were there and unharmed. The window that was open was in the front room, where my brother had been sleeping. He doesn't remember opening the window. Nothing is missing from inside that we are aware of. Even if something were missing (which I doubt) it wouldn't matter. I am just so happy that my guys were still there.
Coco saw his mom closing the window, blurting expletivess, and went over there several times to check it out. So, I am not sure if he knew it was open, or if he was only interested because he saw the window get closed. He, remember, loves smelling the outside fresh air. I have to open the sliding door for him almost daily.
The best part of all was that my birthday was Sunday (1/9). That my guys were still inside was the best gift I received this year.
Thanks for reading.
