Do your cats wear collars?

Question:
I've always had indoor cats, and they've never worn a collar. Even though they are strictly indoor, I thought it would be nice to get collars a while back for both Nya AND Buddy, and they HATED them. I can't get them to wear them at all. So I was just wondering how many of you had your cats wear a collar...

Answer:
Mine only wear collars when they're in danger of escaping. That'd be when we go to the vets or when I take them to the cottage. Our apartment has a door into a hallway, and they aren't interested in running out so it's not a daily thing.

Vequi is 100% indoors, but I still made her use a collar from day 1. She looks cute with it. She also wears two tags and she is microchipped.

They collar has our address and telephone number on it and they are all microchipped.

Answer:
Mine wear collars with tags that have my info on it. They are strictly indoor cats, but I wanted them in case they got outside somehow.

Answer:
Yes, Kiera wears a collar and has tags on her so that if she is found, it is clear she is microchipped. I'm a nervous type so this gives me a peace of mind, and in addition, the collar gives me some warning where she is. The little bugger can sneak up on me too well as it is!

Bailey and Sammi wear their fashion collars all the time. They're black with a rhinestone initial. See below:
When I take them places I hook on their microchipped tags and their regular information tags but I don't keep those on in the apartment because they don't like the clanky sound of them.
Neither of them mind their collars at all. I think they look really pretty too.

Mine does I couldn't keep it on him the first time I tried... so I gave up.
But he got a new ID tag for Christmas and finally accepted the collar. The tag has all my info on one side, and his microchip info on the other (I figure this way, even if my info changes and the tag doesn't... they can call the homeagain number and I'll have it updated there). Oh, he's microchipped too

Answer:
They probably should wear collars. Right now I'm just being extra vigilant about not letting them get out. None of them are full-grown yet. I'll probably address the collar issue when they're grown. I might go for microchipping instead, if the local authorities scan picked-up animals. I don't really like a collar...it gets in the way of petting

Yup, they all wear collars. Their tags say:

Since we live in a small cottage (front door easily accessed by rushing kittens) close to roads on all sides, our boys have worn Safe Cat collars and tags with all our info from their first day of adoption. There is always the chance than anything could happen, so I'd rather be safe.
We have actually started taking their collars off at night because the jingle-jangle of kitty tags was disturbing our sleep since their sleep schedules are different from ours. But, first thing in the morning, the collars go back on...especially since Binx likes to hang out at your feet...he gets kicked around if we don't hear him first. Poor little buggar.

Tiger wears a collar with a flat tag from boomerangtags.com. I love it because it doesn't clank at all. He has a very furry "mane" so it looks a little funny with the collar on (squishes his fur) but we have 2 kids and Tiger has accidentally escaped a few times. If I thought he'd stay inside I'd take the tag off, but I feel better knowing that our information is on it. His tag is tiger-striped, looks really cute with his orange hair!

Thomas is wearing a collar right now, it's one from Christmas with 3 bells. I ordered it special. His regular collar only has one bell and doesn't make a lot of noise. I think Kitty likes it because she knows when he is going to attack.
The problem is, Thomas really seems to dislike any collar. He is always desperate for me to scratch under it. But he doesn't try to get it off. Does this go away? Are some collars more comfortable than others? Just thought I'd ask. He's had it on for two weeks straight.
