I wanted to update you all and let you know that I am in the process of rescuing a 5 year old Siamese/Snowshoe from my area. I finally got to meet her tonight and she's wonderful.
I'll definitly post pics when and if she ends up with me. Thanks again for all your help.
I'm sure I'll be hanging around here to continue bugging you guys for help and advice.

She's the only adoption ad I've made a call on. I was nearly decided just from her pic and desc. After I met her I knew she was the one for me. But I live with 3 other guys and I'm trying to make sure that she's the one for them too.
I went out and bought some of the essentials today. Provided everything continues well with my roomies, I should be scheduling my house visit for any day now.
I'll keep you guys updated for sure.

Take the photos and upload them in the Cat Photos section. Then right click on one and select 'properties,' then copy the URL that is on the info pad. EX:photos/data/500/2731heartzz.gif
After you've copied it, click the Img once on the message you are going to post. Then click paste. On the other side of the photo click Img again.
EX: http://EXAMPLE.com
And then it should end up with the picture.

Very Much! Sable is a very pretty cat. That's the reason I first looked into getting her. But already she's been much more.
She really warmed up to her new home quickly. After about 15 minutes of exploring she was ready for nuzzling and cuddling. When the rest of my roommates came home, she warmed up to them in seconds.
She's got a personality though. She'll let you know when you do something she doesn't like or isn't ready for.
I'm very happy I found her and rescued her. She doesn't like other pets. She likes to be queen without contention. However, she loves cuddling up to people. Her foster mom, who has several cats, remarked that Sable already looked happier here right as she was first dropped off. So I think it's going to work out for everyone.
