What do you think?
Question: Okay, the stupid shelter adopted out one of my foster kittens. I made them agree to not adopt out one of my kittens to anyone until I approved the person...but they did anyway The shelter told me it was a great home and the lady has done a few cats rescues before. She is also adopting another kitten for a buddy from a different shelter. Anyway, the lady has three kids. Ages: 3(girl), 6(boy) & 9(boy)...the shelter told me that they seemed to do good with my kitten and that the mom seemed really responsible. What do you think about the kids that young? The kitten is an older one...she is 7 months, pretty big, and VERY active. The shelter is supposed to e-mail me soon with the lady's info, and I am going to meet her myself. Answer: I have kids 7 and 10 and they are really great around our kitten. One great thing about cats is that they don't take any grief. If they don't like how they are being treated they leave. Our kitten is really cuddly and snuggly most of the time, but if he feels like playing or being left alone he lets the kids know it. Try to be happy that the kitten is going to a loving home and will have a kitty friend! Good luck! Answer: I know that you are upset because you didn't approve the new owners, but I'm sure the shelter used good judgment. If the kitten got a good home that is what matters. Answer: My kids have had cats from the day they were born. When I got Kevin (@4) We had 4 cats. He had never been around cats. Within a week two of them were sleeping with him every night. Now at 11 he has his own cats. They are his responsibility. Feeding, brushing, and loving. The only thing I don't have him do yet is empty the litter boxes. Kids can be great with kittens. So much depends on how the parents expect them to behave. Cats are Gods way of reminding us we aren't as important as we think we are Answer: If raised right, kids are usually just fine with cats. I was. -Rob Answer: Im sure they will do fine with your cat,if your really that upset about it,maybe you could ask them to tell the lady that you would like to talk with her about the cat.
