Question:
I have not scooped the cat box in 5 days and she has not used it!
It is perfectly clean. So....where do they usually find a spot to go and
once winter comes do they remember what the litterbox is for?
MiMi has been going in and out the house during the day and
she comes in around 9pm and sleeps with me.

My Mother's cats were indoor out door-all year round- and they rarely used the box ( it was great ) But they always remembered where it was when they wanted it. I have no idea were they went outside except that they were discouraged from using the garden!

Poor Dawn! I read your post, but I don't allow my cats to go out. However, to make up for not answering, I'll tell you about Nibs, my all black cat who was really a Siamese in a black coat! (Really! She talked all the tiime, with that Siamese voice, and was a real character!)
Well, she was so well litter trained that when I finally let her out, she would come crying desperately at the door and dash through the house, the way we do when we have waited too long. to the litter box, where we could almost imagiine her letting out a sigh. It was as if she was saying, "Thank goodness; I couldn't have held it any longer!" She was such a character! (She is the reason I have Siamese now.)
