Question:
I am already planning ahead to get a new cat in around 2 years or so. Once I am old enough to get a job and after I get a car I will be planning on getting a male cat from the shelter. I love our cats that we have now but they arent actually MY cats. I want one of my own so I plan to get one in two years that way my mom wont have to pay for him! Its going to be hard waiting that long, expecially since I tend to go to the shelter almost every weekend!

That's going to be a long time to wait. But planning ahead is good. Many people don't and have problems. If you'll still be living at home with the other cats, be sure to study up on new cat introductions. Just bringing a new cat home and hoping they'll "work it out" is a recipe for disaster.

yes i know! We use to foster litters of kittens from a couple of days old till they were old enough to go to homes and our cats did fine with them thankfully! I miss fostering them though! It was sooo much fun! We only lost one kitten before which was really hard but he was so sick.
