We want to move within the next month or two.
Any advice regarding the kittens/cats?
I want to make the move as smooth as possible for not only us, but the kitties.

How many hours will you be traveling, and how many kitties will be traveling with you?
If it's a long trip you'll want larger carriers, with bedding, litter boxes, toys, etc. inside.

Cats are very smart and very adaptable. Just keep them strictly indoors for the first week or two, till they get used used to their new home. That is if they're not strictly indoor kitties now. Then let them explore everywhere at their liesure after that. Once they know the layout of their new house, and all its new scents and feeling, they'll do fine.
Oh, pick out a nice quiet place for their litter boxes, and show them where the litter boxes are. Like us, cats like a private bathrooom.

Definitely keep them indoors. Otherwise they're likely to show up at the old place after a long journey.

They are definitely indoor kitties. I've had bad luck with indoor/outdoor kitties before and would hate to go through that again
