She should also be checked by your vet, since there are many medical reasons for this type of problem. Beyond that, there are a zillion reasons, but you can get more info and tips on solving the problem by reading the articles on Litterbox Secrets in our free article library, http://www.littlebigcat.com/?action=library. Cheers, Dr. Jean Jean Hofve, DVM www.littlebigcat.com www.spiritessence.com Boulder, Colorado Answer: The only thing I can think of is a tip I remember reading somewhere on this site some time ago: although you mention a new litter tray, it's not clear whether you bought a new one in addition to the other one so that each cat could have their own, or whether you bought a new one to replace the old one so both cats are sharing one tray. Apparently some cats detest sharing a tray and they'll 'go to the toilet' everywhere else except in the tray that the other one is using, so if they're sharing you may want to try having one separate tray for each cat, perhaps even not having them together if possible. I think this relates to territory issues, but not too sure. Good luck. Answer: I believe that the rule is to have one litter box for each cat, plus one. Then there are the issues about type of litter, depth of litter, etc. Cats sometimes can be very finicky about all of this. You can check out: http://www.planeturine.com/index.cfm/Name/catpethappy#type I found it full of interesting advice. Good Luck! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
