Thanks, no playing favorites here... but he was one betta that had the most personality I have ever seen. When he passed away it was one of the hardest deaths I have ever went through, he was with me for the hardest two years of my life, he helped me smile.

Honestly, I have no idea. He was a nice petco find that I couldn't help but bring home... I'm not so great when it comes to betta colors, so I can't say what he is.

Well i have had heaps of bettas in the past, but i have only recently got a digital camera to take pics of them. These are the two i could find. I will take pics of my other two later.
This is Sammy, (RIP) he was my baby boy. Very friendly. He lived for about 3 years.
This is Swan, (RIP) I called him swan because no one at the pet shop wanted to take him cause they thought he was ugly. Even my mum wanted me to choose a prettier one, but he was beautiful to me. He looks like someone splashed different coloured paint on him. I called him swan because he was like the ugly duckling who ended up being a beautiful swan.
I have two living bettas at the moment. Sobek and jewel. I will try to get some pics of them up here soon.

I had a batta for 5 years, his name was Chi Chi, unfortunetly that was about 2 or 3 years ago, and I don't have any pics of him

I'd like to add I had a fish called Illusion, blueish white. He also lived with my dad in a 10 gallon but my stupid dad tried to put 2 goldfish in there without quarenteening even theough he knew the temperature differences. Turned out one of the goldies was sick and the whole tank died.

I think I may get a betta, I've wanted one for a very long time but never actually bought one. I have an itch for ferret math which I can't afford, but a fishie would be good. I'm going through chemotherapy, so anything that makes me smile I could probably convince my mother to allow me. lol
I have a small tank, but its much larger than the cups they spend their life in. I think it's 1.5gallons. It is taller than it is wide, so I may need a different one.

Well there you go..I've often seen posts where people have listed what pets they have and I always wondered what a Betta was....now I know! What a beautiful fish...and so many pretty colours.

I was at petsmart and there was a yellow veil male and a mustard gas veil male and female that I wanted those are basically my 2 favorite colors. In about a year and a half when I'm at college I'll get another betta. Mom says no right now.
