RIP Little Pockets
Question: I tried everything for you after my friend brought you to me.. thinking I knew everything about birds. in despite running late to my workshop, I researched on you, where you came from and what did you needed. I got some berries, nectar juice and inverinsects for you, you were pretty excited, chirping. I really thought I had you survived. until an hour ago, you decided to fly over a rainbow. I'm sorry it was something I could not do for you. you were chippy and fun to watch for a day. thanks to you, you taught me a lot about rescuing wild birds and how to rescue the next one better. I miss you already little pockets, my tiny warbler. needless to say, I beat myself up over your death - I feel so bad. I try to not, I know under this lilac tree where we buried you will bloom all over you in springs and summers. good by now, fly free and I love you, little one. So sorry, Gina. But Bless you for trying. Little wild ones are always difficult to rescue. /s/ Phred Answer: thank you phred. words help. I still miss my little pockets, I know I only had him for not more than 14 hours or so. I have been thinking of you everytime I walked into the building (classroom) where my friend found you. I hope you're having fun up there flying through colors... Little Pockets Answer: Awww...the sweetest little face, so pretty! He was so lucky to be with you. RIP little pockets....
