Okay guys, K9Soul and Raven need our help

Still waiting for the specifics from her vet, who is in contact with the Univeristy, discussing the best options, etc. Regardless it's going to be expensive, and she does not qualify at this time for any of the grants etc. Answer: Dear Pet Talkers, I have witnessed in the past what a caring and wonderful community of people this is, but there is just no way to realize the incredible impact of it until you are the one being helped. I feel so overwhelmed it is very difficult to try to come up with adequate words. This situation has been such a shock to me, a nightmare. Who in the world thinks that their puppy might develop malignant cancer before they are a year old? And oral cancers being some of the most aggressive. I had another shock when I saw this thread. Vela, my dear friend who has gone through the emotional roller coaster with me, from the time I adopted my little imp until now when we are fighting for her life, has been there every step of the way. I could not have hoped for a truer friend. And I feel the same for all of you, all who have offered support, prayers, offers of help. Every last shred of it will never, ever be forgotten by me. I still do not know as much as I would like, but Raven is going in Monday to see a specialist who has done many of these types of surgeries. He will be assessing her and deciding how radical and how much will be necessary, whether some of the bone needs to be taken and so on. Right now the next step all depends on his assessment, but the specialist (Dr. Koblik) will probably be doing the surgery. I am not sure if he would take her to his clinic or how that works yet. I have to drop her off Monday morning at my vet's office and he will be calling me with Dr. Koblik's recommendations when he sees her, and a more ballpark idea of what cost is involved. The less they have to deal with going into the jawbone, the less cost will hopefully be involved. I just know my girl is going to beat this. We have a purpose together, she and I. I am grateful beyond any ability to express through words to all of you. Thank you from Raven and I, from the bottom of our hearts. Answer: Jess, you and Raven deserve it. She's brought you so much happiness. We'll all be helping you create this miracle. You both deserve years and years of joy. We love Raven (and you) Keep the faith, ok? Answer: Jess, I truely feel that Raven CAN and WILL beat this Cancer !!!~ With all the fiber of our being, we're going to "BE THERE " for her-- as well as for you~~~ through every step of this journey. Pawsitive Prayers k9soul Vela~~ We'll keep our eyes open for "specifics"~ and, Where to send our donations. Answer: Please count me in too. All I'll need is the address where to sent the check. It may not be much, but I'll do the best I can for Raven & Jess. I do realize that time is of the essence in getting her surgery scheduled ASAP. Answer: A check is on it's way, and prayers continue for Raven & Jessica. You are a special friend, Vela, thanks for keeping us informed. Answer: Sadly I can offer no more then prayers, but you and Raven are in my prayers. We are in trouble financially since I've stopped working and in the process of losing my car and cable TV so I feel bad for not contributing, but I simply can't at this time. I am so sorry. I really wish I could pitch in. I hope and pray Miss Raven will recover fully from this nasty disease and that life will be back to normal soon. I am so glad everyone is pitching in, I just wish I could do the same. Bless you and your sweet fur family Love, Leslie Answer: Please don't feel badly. Prayers are just as important as money. I hope your situtation improves in the near future. Send me another PM with the questions you have about transcription, I accidentally deleted the last one cleaning out my box. Answer: Since I am under 18 I can't donate. But Jess and Raven I have been keeping you in my prayers every night! I know Raven can beat this. (((HUGS))) What a awsome communtiy we are. Answer: continued prayers on the way Jess and Raven.... Answer: This has been an awful shock. I want to help a bit as well. Keep the faith, Jess. If anybody can make it, Raven can. She's not about to be leaving her new mommie now. Answer: Please PM me your paypal address. I get paid on Friday so I should have a little extra to spare. Answer: Originally Posted by Vela A donation can be made at any time, even a few weeks from now. Anything anyone can do to help is appreciated. Thank you. I will make a donation in about two weeks, when I get my check. I have a lot going on here, but I can spare something. Can you PM me with the info, such as a paypal link or the vet's number? Thanks Vela. You are awesome for posting this thread for Raven and Jess. I pray she gets well soon. Answer: I'm still overwhelmed by this. And I don't want a single person to feel bad about if they can't send, or what they can send, if there is any difficulty going on, or even if you simply don't feel comfortable with it, I want you to be sure and know I understand and do NOT, not in the very least, expect it. In fact I would sincerely request you keep what you have if that is the case, especially if you are low yourself! I know many folks have already generously given and it makes me feel incredible that they would do that, even a little anxious! I'm not one to ever ask for help in such a way. Until I know for sure what the end cost is going to be, please do not worry about donating even more too at later dates. I promise that if it is even higher than I had imagined and I'm in trouble, I will say something (hard as that is!) I will do that, thanks to a little reminder Slick gave me . Thank you all. Answer: Glad to be able to help - I know you would do the same for me and my furkids. Blessings to you and Raven Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
