Question:
Both of my cats are sneezing like crazy today and yesterday and the one even has a runny nose. I didn't know that cats could catch a cold and to have both of them sick at the same time is worrying me. I'm curious to know if there is anything I can do here at home to take care of them. If it persists I will take them to the vet but I'd like to see if I can help them out myself instead of rushing to the vets office.

I just remembered something that now has me quite troubled. We just took the cat to the vet exactly a week ago to have her spayed, she may have picked up something there. As well, we just rescued a dog two weeks ago and in our search we went to our local Humane Society and their cats were just being treated for an upper respiratory outbreak, we were told not to touch them and I didn't but I'm wondering if it could still be passed on.

If the cats are sick, can our dog get sick with the same thing?
