Salivating cat
Question: We have a Main Coon male cat that is two years old and 24 hours ago he appeared to be getting sick. He he excessively licking up saliva that appears to be running out of his mouth. His energy is low and the chin area is soaked with saliva. He appears to breath ok and there is no discharge through his nose or eyes. We are baffled and looking for any suggestions. Note, if it continues to get worse, we will bring him to the vet. Answer: It sounds like he may have got into something toxic. I would take him to the vet right away. Good luck and keep us posted. Answer: Get him to the vet, and as soon as possible (emergency vet if necessary). Excessive salivating is a sign of nausea, he's feeling bad. Answer: We will take him into the emergency vet hospital. We'll keep all posted on progress. Thanks for the responses and for caring! Answer: Glad to hear you are taking him to an emergency vet. Good luck. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
