Cornish Rex Cat, Sore / Sensitive Eye

Question:
Hello all. My cat seems to be favoring one eye. He seems to keep that one eye squinted. We first noticed this 2 or 3 days ago, and have been watching him. We noticed a bit of dried blood on the outside eye lid, and cleaned it for him. Since then, no more blood. We have other cats, and they do fight / wrestle / play a lot, so I'm thinking he may have just got hit in the eye.

There is no puss, no fluid drainage or anything like that. He's still eating great, he wants to be held, he's playing, purring, bathroom breaks are normal, so aside from him favoring his eye, he seems A-1. skin around his eye is a bit pink.

My question is, does this sound serious? does it warrant a vet visit, or should i just let it clear up on it's own? He certainly does not appear to be in pain..

Answer:
Well whether or not there is no STUFF coming out of eye,if he cant keep it open i would say yesss.

Answer:
Thanks for the quick response. He does keep it open, he just seems to squint a bit, he usually has it about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way open. I've made an appointment for tomorrow anyway, i guess I'll take my boy in .

Answer:
No problem,keep us updated.

Answer:
Glad you are taking him to the vet. It's always better to be safe than sorry with eye related problems.

BTW, welcome to the forum and we'd love to see pics of all your kitties.
