Question:
I found my half eaten chapstick in his crate last night. He has quite the fixation for chapstick it seems. It was the softlips vanilla flavored one. He has exhibited absolutely no negative symptoms and his poo is fine so far. Should I still take him to the vet just in case? Or just carefully moniter him for any strange behaviour.

The chapstick should not be a problem, I use the one with sunblock on of my greys nose so it does get licked off Ihave also had dogs that have ate the contents of the tube if a small breed may end up with soft stool

I've also used chapstick with sunblock on a dog's nose. I would just monitor him.....I'm sure he'll be okay.

I wouldnt worry too much bout it either, poops may be well lubed but other than that, i cant think of any issues with it.

Should be fine. My previous mini Dachshunds and now my Eskimo have always had sunblock (stick form) applied to their noses - which of course when I had more than one dog, was kindly licked off - but then they always make a leap for my face after a cream application. Softest tongues in Toronto.

Bowser is doing fine today, sorry I haven't updated, I've been entertaining a friend from Vancouver (a piece of home! how I miss the west)

His poos are good, and he now tries to eat dad's pot of chapstick, he REALLY likes chapstick!! it's weird.

Oh well at least my lipglosses are out of reach!

Yeah there was a certain brand of lip gloss stuff that had SPF 30 that I had to stop using because Hunter liked it so much. He would see my take it out of my purse, or off my desk and would jump up and try to lick it off my lips. I have since switched to one that tastes and smells horrible so that Hunter will leave me alone when I wear it
