Coughing dog.
Question: Our dog Sheba, a female black lab, cough and cough and then vommit, sometimes yellowish phlegm or bile. She is approximately 15 years of age, although hard of hearing, she is very lively and jumps ahead of us, when we walk her. The coughing has persisted for some weeks now. She has been given clavamox 250 mg every 12 huors, now for a week, but the coughing has not diminished. Anyone out there, who has had similar experience with their dog, the lovely family member? Leo Answer: I would reccomend having a chest xray, sounds like pnemonia, but could be wrong, but an xray will def help Answer: I assume that the vet prescribed the clovomax. I would give them a call and discuss that there has been no improvement. They may wish to see you again or maybe give a different antibiotic.
