Can Someone Help Please?

Question:
Hi everyone this is my first time posting and I really need some advice. One of our indoor/outdoor cats had disappeared and just came home today after about a week. She seems physically fine (a little dirty and thin but I would expect that) when I looked her over but she is losing her fur like crazy which indicates trauma maybe, she is having trouble walking, like she is weak, and she is barely taking in food or water. I am worried and my vet said she sounds okay. Maybe just shock or something. She was also sneezing alot at first but that seems to have passed now. If anyone has any advice it sure would be appreciated. This cat is my daughter's baby (her name is Jewel) and we are both really worried.

Answer:
I would take her to a vet for a check-up regardless. It's not that much money for a little peace of mind if everything is OK. Poor girl-I hope she is OK.

Did your vet actually look at her or did you just speak to him/her over the phone? If you only spoke over the phone I think you need to take your cat into be examined right away. If your vet examined your cat and said that, then I think you should take her to a different vet as there's definitely something wrong with her.

Please take her to the vet and post with an update.

Answer:
My cat sneezed alot when I first got her, and it was an upper respitory infection, the vet suggested giving it a few days, if it didnt clear up within 3 days, to get antibiotics. That may be what your cat has since she has been out in the wild for a while. Also, your cat may be suffering from dehydration, and this may be why she is so weak and not eating/drinking that much. I would definately take your cat to the vet, a check up isn't that expensive, and it would be the best thing for your kitty . I mean, you can't really get a diagnosis over the phone.
