how to tell if new puppy is not well???
Question: Hi, im a new member here, i've had a cat for about 5 yrs now, but my parents recently got a new puppy! Our puppy is 2 months and 1 week old, we just had him at the vets last week for constipation/sore-red bum/not eating/not playing - the vet gave us cream and de-worming pills. Since then he's been eating much better - we got him new moist puppy food special from the vet and he's much more playfull and is able to go to the bathroom again. However we brought him last night for a follow-up of last week and to get his 2nd baby booster...he was fine last night after the injection, playing and eating, keeping me up half the night. But this morning he started shaking as if he was cold/nervous, and he barely touched his food (which he normally scarfs down in 2 min) and he's not playing again this morning. How do i know if this could be a start to a fever (the shaking) as a reaction to the booster shot?? His nose is still wet and he hasn't thrown up and is still going to the bathroom normally. btw, our puppy is poodle/bichon and weights 2lbs 6 ounces!! he actually gained 1 ounce since last week Answer: Please do not hesitate, go see a vet...... Answer: I agree, go to see a vet asap. It very well could be a reaction to the vaccine and it is better to be safe than sorry. Time may be very important if it is a reaction. Answer: Thanks for the info! I will call the vet, better safe then sorry! Answer: Great Please post an update Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
