Answer:
The best way to find out would be to call and ask a vet or to call the aspca poison control hotline. www.aspca.org

Answer:
In the air... testing the pump because I didn't think anything was coming out... but, it did.

Thanks.

Answer:
oops......yeah i would call poison control or your vet....

Answer:
I hope all is well, from what I have heard dogs getting into inhalers can result in very serious problems

but as a suggestion for next time, phone your vet or if closed, phone an emergency vet to ask or phone the poison control number
The reason, someone here may have done to same once and said everything was fine and no problems , but their dog could have been a 160 lb dog and yours only 5lbs, what could be okay for a 160 lb dog could potentially kill a 5 lb dog, other problem can be the breed, some breeds are extremely sensitive to certain drugs example many flea products and some types of barbituates used for anesthesia can kill a greyhound but can be is safely used for other breeds, the third thing was if your dog is on any medications, some drugs/ chemicals cannot be mixed with other types without causing serious problems

Answer:
Hey... The Puffer was ventolin right??? Its an immediate acting puffer for Shortness of breath usually from asthma... it opens up the airways of a human ... makes breathing easier... side effects are increased heart rate ... kinda like running.. dry mouth and palpitations and such.. the effect is pretty immediate on humans.. and lasts only a little while an hour or two... I doubt there is much to worry about.. I did find a site that said DO not give to pregnant animals.. Mention it to your vet ... but.. Umm.. maybe be more careful with spraying your inhalers.. I dont think repeated adminstration is good for animals.. A one time deal is probably ok.. but long time exposure could probably cause problems... (Increased Heart rate = doggie heart troubles) ..

Answer:
contact the vet and ask monitor your pet and please take this as a learning experience about med administration near pets. accidents can happen in a flash, so when spraying inhalers or taking pills etc please do it somewhere where the dog cannot get a hold of it. make sure when doing these things to have the door closed if a pills drops dogs can make a dash for it thinking its a treat or if you spray an inhaler dogs may breathe it in out of curiosity
