Licking front left joint
Question: Hi! I have a 4 year old male orange tabby and for the life of me I cant figure out what is going on. I took him to the vet before I moved and the vet said that it was just nerves and that once we moved he would be fine. Here is what is going on.. we are a military family and my husband was away training. About a week or two before he got home Orion started to lick his front left leg, right above the joint. I called my vet immediately and he said that if it continued then to bring him in. After my husband got home I found Orion licking his leg until it started to bleed. I scooped him up and rushed him off to the vet. My vet told me to buy this "hot spot" and spray it on. It worked for a little while but I swear to you that he likes the stuff now. I called him again and he suggested this cream stuff that you can buy at Petsmart. I tried that too but nothing deters him. This is not an everyday thing.. He wont lick it for a week or so and then he will lick it raw. Then leave it alone again. I cant figure it out!! I am in the process of making another vet visit for him.. but I am really interested if anyone has ever experienced this before. I figure that there must be a cause for this. Whether it be stress or a skin condition. I haven't a clue. But if it was a skin condition wouldn't there be more than one spot? HELP!! Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
