Dog wacked in the eye
Question: My husband was swinging this tennis ball with a rope attached and charlie tried to get it and got wacked in the eye. Both eyes dollow movement and applying pressure around the eye socket doesn't cause any pain reflexes. He isn't open his eye very much though does he have the equivalent of a black eye or are these tests not applicable to dogs. I dont' know if i should take him the emergency vet or wait. Answer: You could expect the eye to be a bit swollen and weepy and definitely expect him to squint a lot for the next couple of days. But if you look at the eyeball itself and everything looks normal, he should be fine. If he had a scratch or a foreign object in there he would probably be rubbing the eye a lot and it would be really weepy. He should be fine. Answer: Don't you think a vet should diagnose this and tell you? Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
