Cat lost a tooth
Question: My 2 yr. old cat lost one of his front teeth. What could have caused this and how concerned should I be? Answer: Is there an odor coming from the mouth? Look for infection. But if it all looks ok I wouldn't worry one bit about it. Answer: Agree, check very carefully for infection, swelling, if he's not eating or chewing normally that would also indicate a problem. Maybe check the adjoining teeth in case it's a gum or bone problem, just a thought? Could have caught it on anything, really. One of my dogs lost a tooth in a dogfight (oops) - I think he got it caught in the other dog's collar buckle. It's never bothered him a bit; luckily it was just one of the little bitty front teeth on his bottom jaw. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
