URGENT- Dog with sore tummy
Question: Hello everyone I am sorry to join for the first time with a question, but am starting to panic. I have a rescue cocker spaniel who is about 9 yrs old and normally very spritely. She has begun to loose some fur on her back, but the vet said it was old age. But yesterday she became lethargic and won't get up. This morning I carried her outside and she urinated and then sat down, unwilling to get up. Her tummy is sore and and as a stroke her she lays in my hand with her eyes closed. Last week we visited the vet and had a check-up. She said she was very healthy and emptied her glands. Could this be to do with it? Any answers willingly accepted. Thanks, Worrying Mum! Answer: I would take her back to the vet's, in case it's something different. Answer: thanks Meaghan, I will do. Will let you know what they say. xx Answer: I hope she's ok Answer: Thanks everyone. Went to vet and she has a urine infection and a high temperature. She still looks miserable, but she always has been an attention seeker and I'm so relieved it is nothing more serious. Hopefully she'll be back to normal in a few days. xx Answer: Good luck with the recovery. Answer: If she is having continued hairloss, skin problems have her checked for hypothyroidism, is it a common problem with cockers especially when they get older Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
