My POOR boy! Send him good thoughts!

Question:
I am worrying for my poor Ebi, I adopted him from a shelter he had been brought back to and left after being declawed. I noticed more so in recent months he has been limping on his left front foot. He has to go in the morning and have his paw reopened and cleaned out, they believe some of the bone is regrowing in there causing his pain. I am very concerned for him and hate that this needs to be done, but know there really is not a choice. I would NEVER declaw a cat and it is ironic to be taking him in for a re-declaw. This sucks!

Answer:
Awww, poor Ebi. I'm sure he will feel so much better after his surgery. Big hugs and good vibes for you both.

Answer:
Aww! Good luck with the surgery.

Answer:
That does suck. for a quick recovery and as pain free one as possible.

Answer:
Thank you SO much! You are all very kind. I will let you know how he is doing, I hope he does not need both feet worked on and that he can come home tomorrow night.

Answer:

Answer:
Vet just called about Ebi and they have to go into both front paws to clean up bone that is regrowing...I am so angry that somebody did this to him in the first place, and made a mess of it on top that! He is the most loving cat I have ever had and I have had a few in my life, he wraps his paws around my neck and hugs me, he sleeps on a pillow next to my head. I am just a mess today....AAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGH

Answer:
Thanks everyone, reading your good wishes is very helpful!
I found the papers from when I adopted Ebi one year ago and saw that the vet clinic where Ebi had been neutered and declawed (in southern Oregon) before I got him was named...so I called them (venting to the appropriate people) and let fly. I just wish it could help Ebi.
The vet just called to let me know he is doing ok and is waking up, but will have to spend the night. They said he is going to do so much better after this...I certainly hope they are right!

Answer:
Sarenab,so sorry to hear about Ebi,but very happy you are the one who decided to give him a home
He is a beautiful Tabby, just like my Rocky and I hope everything goes well for him,the poor little guy
The vet who did this to him, should have been reprimanded, but then you don't know who that is,right?
I think Ebi is a perfect example why de-clawing should be banned in Canada, just like in so many other western countries. It's just simply crueland then after he went through all this, the owners dumped him at a shelter, nasty, horrid people,Ebi is soooo much better off with you!
Good luck to the little guy and you
ps.I just saw you are in Oregon, but it should be banned in all of North-America!!

Answer:
