my 14wk old yorkie has vomited white foam

Question:
it's more of a spit lookin kind, with a whiter tint to it.
though, it happened only 3 times within a 5minute time.
he seems fine now. no blood was found within it.
he's still hyper, and running around and playing.
nothing seems to be wrong. should i be worrying?

Answer:
I would bring him in to see a vet, just to be sure that everything is okay.

Answer:
I have a 3 year old Bassett Hound, named Rowan. He gets into things...whenever he can. The exact same thing that you are describing happened to hime about 5 months ago. He put a big fat toad in his month. He did not bite it, just simply picked it up. It must have excreted something from it's skin because he foamed at the mouth. We took him into the bathroom...threw him in the tub and sprayed his mouth out with the shower...gave him a piece of white bread...and it was over. Of course your problem could be more serious...but if there's a possibility he encountered a toad...it does have the same results you're describing.

Answer:
Mine did that when they were pups and they scarfed their food down. They would vomit that white foamy stuff and then drink water and be fine. But I would definetly check with a vet. Especially for one so young.

Answer:
Definitely head to the vet. Better safe than sorry.

Answer:
My 3-month old shih tzu cross pup vomitted white foamy stuff a couple weeks ago. We had just bought her a new fleece dog bed, which we had to promptly take away because she was eating it. Later that day we found the foamy mucous stuff in her crate. The spit-up didn't happen again, so we chalked it up to her swallowing some the the pieces of fleece. She's been fine since then, and actually had her vaccinations this weekend along with a clean bill of health.
