Electrical burn in mouth
Question: Cody, my 7 month old Cocker Spaniel, bit an extension cord a few days ago. We know he got a bit of a shock, as he yipped like I've never heard him before, and ran away like a shot! We looked him over, and within the hour he seemed fine. He was eating, playing, etc as normal. Now, several days later, I have discovered what looks like a burn in his mouth. I feel soooo badly that I didn't take him to the vet right away to be checked over. I am calling them shortly, as soon as they open, and will take him in today. As a first time dog owner, I've learned a lesson here. Just as I always did with my human kids, err on the side of caution and bring him to the experts when in doubt. Answer: Dont be too hard on yourself, a valuable lesson learnt. Well 2 actually, 1- puppy proof everything 2-In case of emergency , call the vet! I hope everything goes well today..
