Pain, but no observable source

Question:
I have an eight month old german-shepard mix that I adopted backn in March. He has been healthy and playful, but about a week ago he started making yelping noises when I touched him. I checked him over and he had no bruises or cuts, no swelling or rashes. He does not favor a particular limb or scratch and lick a certain area. He even yelps when I touch him in different spots and doesn't yelp at the same spot twice. I have been working more and have had him locked up more than usual, is he just lonely and want attention? He acts as if I am hurting him, but other than yelping doesn't show any signs of pain. He still has a regular appetite and his stool is solid with no sign of worms or blood. please help.

Answer:
You need to take your puppy to the vet. If he's yelping when you touch him it's because it hurts. It doesn't have to be something on the outside visible to the naked eye.

It's likely there is something wrong internally and only a vet will be able to determine the cause. Please take your puppy to the vet ASAP and then post with an update. Good luck.

Answer:
We whole-heartly agreed with "Rainbow"...it could be an ulcer, or anything else. The Vet is the only one that determine.
