Problems after neutering:2 weeks post-op

Question:
My cat Minnie was neutered almost 2 weeks ago. She has been bouncing around the house like her normal kitten self, eating anything I leave down for her and in general is one very happy kitten. But a few days ago I picked her up and noticed a bump had formed around her wound. Her wound has healed wonderfully, no redness, no soreness. When I press the bump she doesn't mind so obviously it's not hurting her. She's her normal very happy self.

I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be? I am taking her back on Monday for her appointment for her booster and to have her wound checked so "take her to the vet" is covered. I'm just wondering if anyone has seen anything like it before and might be able to put my mid at rest.

This was taken this morning. I'd be very grateful for anyone's suggestion or help.

Answer:
My dog developed a large egg sized lump after neutering. There is nothing to worry about unless you notice it get very large, turns red, oozes or the stitches are pulled too tightly.

Answer:
I was CONVINCED something was wrong with my boy when I saw all the bumps along the incision, but I too was told that it's normal (much to my disbelief).

If things are looking clean and healthy, it should be fine, but you can always ask when you take her back in to have the stitches removed (unless of course you're going to remove them yourself, like I did).

Answer:
Guys, thank you so much. You have made me finally exhale. I won't be 100% happy until she gets the all clear on Monday but it was so reassuring to her others had been through the same.

Thanks again.

Answer:
I agree with coppper, as long as there is no redness or oozing it should be fine. When I had both my girls spayed they had those lumps develop. I believe I was told it was from the stitches. Anyway, good luck!

Answer:
Just a little update on Minnie. We came back from the vet about an hour ago and everything is fine. The vet said it's normal to expect a small bump but did admit Minnies is just that bit bigger than normal because she is a very small cat. She will more than likely grow into it. Other than that she got her booster shots and is a picture of health.

Thanks for the replies guys. Even though I was still nervous going in there my mind was more at ease after posting here. So all is well with my little family. I can now breathe a sigh of relief
