Does your dog throw-up on Pedigree Dentabone?

Question:
I gave my dog a Pedigree Dentabone yesterday at noon.
Product Detail: http://www.pedigree.com/dogproducts/...NE+-+Large.asp

He chewed it up in 15-20 min. Everything seemed normal until bedtime. He was staying at the back entrance after his bedtime pee and didn't want to come to the bedroom. I found him drooling a lot but didn't suspect anything. Early this morning, he was throwing up a small chunk of Dentabone.
After I rushed him to the back yard for his business, I tried putting my fingers in his throat to induce vomiting in case his stomach is still full of those stuff. Anyway, he settled down after a while. Instead of his regular breakfast, we gave him a can of Medi-cal Gastro Formula. It has been 4 hours now and he seemed OK. Does anybody has problem with Dentabone?

I almost forgot he had them a few months ago and got runs. I thought he was too young then and had a sensitive stomach. Besides, I couldn't say for sure it was caused by the Dentabone. This time I had the proof that he can't take that.

Answer:
YES !!!!

Joey used to love them and he was fine with them. We gave Cooper one a couple months ago and he wolfed it down and then proceeded to vomit over and over. We head an appt with the vet the next day for a check up and I told him about it and he asked if he had eaten anything and I said a dentabone and he said that was it. Wasn't at all surprised by it.

Answer:
zoe will not eat them. She likes to toss them around.....then dig a hole and bury them.

Answer:
300 kcal per BONE?!!??? And there's no nutrition whatsoever in the ingredient list. And forget about the vitamins (it's trace amounts). That's amazing.

The food I feed my dog is only 332 kcal/cup and he gets 1-1/2 cups per day.

Throw that crap away! Yikes. lol

I stopped giving them to my dogs and puppy cause they would always throw up. the only thing that i give them now is the ocaisanal raw hide. if you are giving it for their teeth i was told that they would have to eat alot of them, so i opped for brushing their teeth, if it's for chewing them you can try raw hide imo

I heard rawhide will break off and cause stomach problem but we only give him under our watchful eye. We found it difficult to brush his teeth and the box of Dentabone was bought a little while ago. He cannot chew real bones without getting the run. I just try to keep him busy so that he wouldn't chew on his bandage.

Answer:
yes brushing puppies teeth is very hard i still have problems with bree's (she like the doggie toothpast WAY to much) hehe and yes the raw hide does break off but it is very soft by that time. you can try nylobones they look like plastic (best way i can discribe them) shaped like a bone they last and last you have to check it now and again to make sure that it is still in tact. they also make toys to clean teeth for puppies if you want to try that all these should keep your puppie away from his bandages

Answer:
Id never give these to any animal id own. nasty nasty crap.

Answer:
Mocha's never thrown up on Dentabone...however, he has a hard time going number two after he eats one. His poop ends up looking like a chalky piece of concrete Poor baby.

Answer:
Yeah, if the throwing up continues, it might not be the bone and you need to see a vet...

But it's like any food- dogs can be sensitive to it or not.

Answer:
I spoke to my vet and he told me it's a sign of some ingredient in the Dentabone he's allergic to. Other than rice as the main ingredient, the rest are all Greek to me. Anyway, rice is on the suspect list now. He will be off that for a while. A few month ago, we switched him from lamb & rice b/c we thought he was allergic to lamb. We have to re-think again.

Answer:
Never had any problems with Jag on them.he hasn't had one in awhile.he likes them.

Answer:
TKW, "WHEAT BRAN" could also be a culprit...
