Pimples/blisters on spay incision

Question:
Today is Day 12 of Autumn's spay incision. We were planning on keeping stitches in for full 14 days which was recommended by her vet but what started out as small pimples on the back part of the incision where the thread goes into the skin has changed and they are now bigger (size of a pencil eraser) and red though not painful for her; looks like a boil or blister.

Has anyone experienced this with a spay... more things to worry about now.

She is going to see the vet today at 2:30pm and hopefully its not infected, or a serious problem and she can have the stitches removed today.

Answer:
Not sure about this, does it look like it could be the scar? Let us know what the vet says.

Answer:
well, they are evenly spaced and only occur where the thread goes into the skin on each side of the actual incision. So to look at it, its like a row of dots evenly spaced on each side.

Answer:
I had lots of female fosters spayed , sometimes it gets a bit swollen ,could be it. Good luck at the vet.

Answer:
That sounds like it is probably normal. After stitches are in and it begins to heal, it do bump up a little bit. But it could also be a sign of infection, if the bumps are really red...You said you are going to the vet anyway, so better to get it checked if you think it may be redder than it should be.

Answer:
It sounds normal but hard to say without pictures. Good luck at the vet and keep us posted.

Answer:
Just returned from the vet and it was a reaction to the sutures. Bodies way of trying to get the foreign material out so they all came out today but still have to restrict her activities for about 2 more weeks because of the dehiscence.

But now they are telling me her vagina is abnormal thus causing her recurring vaginitis. There is a flap of skin that covers the vulva and traps the bacteria in so they recommended a surgery to tuck the flap back out of the way. She also has several polyps on her inner thighs. First recommendation is to change diets could be food allergy. If this doesn't clear it up, 2nd recommendation is to biopsy them.

I am speechless.......I feel so overwhelmed by this all. We just get over one thing and several more present themselves.

Answer:
Couldn't they have tell you before ? They could have done it the same time as the spay.
