Ok i got a hold of the cat place they gave me another # i called her she told me she would give me trap and show me how to use it,i have called a few vets and just to walk in the door will be about $60.00,one vet told me her eye infection could cause her to die a horrible death,and now since yesterday she cannot walk on her right paw,the president of our homeowners assc stopped me yesterday and we were talking because someone there has a dog,i said well in the book it says you are allowed one cat,she said that is not true those were just things they discussed in meetings,she said if you read house rules it says no pets allowed,which she was right it does,i told her well i feed the strays because previous owner did and they always come to our door and if i get written up so be it,but if i do i want them removed,or (which i didnt tell her, i will step one foot off the property and feed them)i will continue feeding,so my boss is super smart ,i brought my house book here because it is hard to understand and he said HOUSE RULES only apply to common elements,not the inside of your place,it MUST BE in the declaration or bylaws section ,which it is not..so i am not gonna worry about roxy right now..Anyway i am really torn what to do here,my boyfriend warned me this would happen(getting attached) but i cannot watch her like this ,it is bringing me to tears,but i do not have the $$ to do all this,so i had 2 people tell me the humane thing to do is trap her and drop her off at the humane society,but then bob is alone,so she said drop them both there.I honestly need some kind of sign to telling me the right thing to do!!!!!!!!!!

Heidi, do you know if the humane society there is a no kill one ? If so yes, I would drop both of them there. If not, I would ask a rescue if they can take them. Is there a cat rescue near you ?

I think there is a no kill rescue but i am not sure and i have left a message w/ the maui humane society.I also called a lawyer and he is telling me from what the ho book says,that it does mean you are not allowed a pet,so now i am also thinking i am gonna take the book to an attorney ,but wait my boss just printed out the laws for all of hawaii condo owners and it says" Assc may adopt rules and regulations that effect the use of or behavior in units that may be used for residential purposes only to: then there are three things written there ,none of which metion pets,Then the last sentence says"otherwise the assc MAY NOT regulate any use of or behavior in units by means of the rules and regulations.Mark tells me i need to just leave this alone right now,but i need to cover my a** w/roxy.I am gonna call my vet back in a minute about the stray..

You can ask your vet about the humane society too or if he knows about a rescue. Your rule book doesn't seem too precise, I don't think they can make you give up Roxy.

My boss said the same thing,it is poorly written,and they could not make me get rid of her,which even if they tried i would not do it,ever..I will let you know what the humane society says when they call me back,it is very heartwrenching seeing her.,like this morning when i opened door she was running like usual to there feeding spot with one paw just hanging,it is killing me,now this,plus wherever the pregnant one is,my mind is in overdrive right now

Yeah, it sounds very nebulous and vague - prob a lawyer could tear it apart so I doubt you have any worries and if you feed them off the premises, even if it one inch - you are still not breaking any rules.

I don't think you need to worry about Roxy,as long as she's kept indoors.
I am surprised,since they do not like stray cats around,nobody has trapped them and shipped them off to HS.
I can understand your heartbreak over the sick cat and I hope you can help her,infections if kept untreated can cause death in a small cat

I really really at this point just hate people,people start this mess,dont fix their pets,leave em when they move,etc etc,and the animals are the ones who pay the price,i am just pissed right now at everyone,i made an appt for tomorrow,21.00 for office visit,and that is all i know til they see her,she said i might have to do eye drops, .well how the hell i am i gonna do that on a cat who only will let you pet her?????? and maybe xrays.Chico-Yes we own the condo,and this is the girl cat in those pictures i put up here ,i feed her and bob.,It makes no sense because they did get them fixed and brought them back to the property,but you cant feed them,bull****,i didnt buy this place to inherit cats that the previous owner fed,and then moved,either they do whatever they have to do,but like i told the president of the assc,as long as they are here i will continue to feed them.And get this this woman used to own 12 rats,when pets of any kind are not allowed......She has had something wrong with eye for awhile,but yesterday mark told me she was limping,when i got home only bob was there,about an hour later as i was talking to that lady she said hey there she is,and i looked and she came running,but not using her right front paw at all.

What happened with Roxy's mom? Did you get hold of www.mauicats.com ? Will they spay her for free? Are the cats your responsibility after they are spayed/neutered or does mauicats also try to find them home?

If mauicats tries to find them homes will they help with these two?

I spoke to maui cats,who then referred me to a lady that lives closer to me,she said she would show me how to trap her,really didnt say anything about taking them in,.asked me to call her later today.

Hopefully you will have a say in what happens to her,but if you sign her over,which you probably have to,who knows..
They have been s/n so they are no longer contributing to the cat overpopulation,hopefully HS will have mercy on her.
