Hello,

I have a 6 month old Golden who since the age of 4 months has had a half wet/half dry nose. We have been applying Vitamin E on the dry side to help keep it moist. Our Vet indicated that she felt this was caused by a blockage in his tear duct on the side that is dry. We left it for 2 months hoping it would solve itself as recommended by the vet. We recently went in and had a minor surgery where the vet used a small cathedar(?sp?) to work the blockage loose.. She said it was successful and that we should see immediate results. It has now been 5 days and his nose is still half dry, and doesnt seem to be improving. my vet seems to be puzzled and doesnt seem to know what else may be causing the half dry nose.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar and may have some suggestions.
