Could somone pls help?
Question: I have a 3 year old girl rottweiler and she was rescued by me an my daughter, when we found her she seemed fine owever we noticed that around THAT time of the month she was having a leakage problem blood coming from the vagina, we thought nothing of it, we thought is was just her period. Well now its been about 2 1/2 years an it seems to be worse, if not everyday, its everyother day she is leaking. somtimes the blood is light, an most of the time its a red tinted fluid or secretion. I Saw the Post about "not posting in the event of an EM" but I dont have the $ to take her to the vet, an I live in a state where theres only 2 vets within a 100 mile radius an they are in it for $ not Animals..So I guess my question is should I have her Put down? ; { this would suck but watching her everyday seemingly in pain sux worse....PS she uses the bathroom (pee) once a day an has been pooping 1 a day or 1 time every 2 days. the only time I ever saw fluid in eyes was the other day, it wiped off an thats it. ? anyone? thanx J Guess I should have also added that they were outside dogs in a hot climat, nopw they are all inside dogs due to snow an stuff, the others are black lab an blue heeler. she lives with the other three in my 2 story home. the problem didnt arise untill recently, she is not fixed neither is my other girl (bl) theres two boys an two girls I could only afford for two so I got the boys fixed. they all still try to hump but she mostly gets madd at them. any help thanks Answer: First welcome. I am sorry but she should really see a vet as it could be a sign that her uterus has become infected(pyometra) and the best way to prevent and treat it is to have her spayed, she would also need a course of antibiotics. It could be something else as I am not a vet but pyo is what first comes to mind. Also if left untreated.....lets just say not good. I hope you can take her to the vet or even see about rotti rescue groups in your area, to see if they can help you. Sorry but the only thing I can tell you is to get her to a vet ASAP !!! And instead of putting her down because you don't want to take care of it, please call a rescue and see if they can take her. It wouldn't be fair to end her life just because of that. Answer: I agree with the others. Please find some way to get her to see a vet asap Answer: I am gonna take her in to the vets office later for an examination. I cant afford it but I cant continue to watch her, she jus lays in the closet all day an wont come out. Sadly I thought of putting her to sleep myself. :{ I had a rotti rescue place in my old state, we actually resued a boy shortly b4 we left last state, its not looking like there is a rescue co opp or anything here. anyone els have any ideas? thanx for your input so far budd Answer: Originally Posted by janky3man Sadly I thought of putting her to sleep myself. OMG you're not serious ! If it's pyometra, she is now slowly dying. Please get her to the vet asap of call a rescue but make it fast. Answer: Originally Posted by janky3man Sadly I thought of putting her to sleep myself. Omg!!! Please, you can't be serious about this Please contact a vet, they should have information about a rescue, or allow you to make payments or something. Time is important here. I suggest if you cannot care for your animals, you should consider not owning any others... Answer: What did you mean by "THAT time of the month?" Has this dog been bleeding monthly? For how long? A dog only goes into heat every few months--if she's been bleeding that frequently for over 2 years, she's definitely overdue for a visit with the vet. Please take her in as soon as you can. I hope everything is going to be all right! Answer: I am just curious why you have more then one pet if you cannot afford to get them help when the situation arises???She needs a vet ,you need to drive the distance,do you have family, credit cards, friends, something you couldsell??if no is the answer to all of that,i suggest finding homes for your other pets ...... Answer: As this is an emergency, please take your dog to the vet right away. Our members are not vets and cannot diagnose over the internet. Please post again with an update after seeking veterinary care. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
