Question:
My 3 year old cat is losing her hair right around her tail. It doesn't appear to be red or irritated, she doesn't itch it and just doesn't seem to bother her at all. She eats and drinks fine and her habits haven't changed. Any ideas?

hmm. is she an indoor or an outdoor kitty? if outdoors maybe its from fleas? also might be some type of allergy. has anything changed in her food or surroundings? any big stessors? i know that stress can also cause hairloss. thats all i have. i dont know what else it could be. there should be others on here who have similar experience or other idea! hope she gets her hair back soon!

Answer:
Lexie (my baby) used to loose hair when I used Advantage flea treatments. And she looses hair due to flea alergy dermatitis.... but ususally you see lumps on the skin if its that.

My aunty did have a cat who lost hair due to a hormone imbalance, so I'd check it out with a vet visit.
