Question:
Autumn has chin acne. I'm fairly confident this is something she will outgrow but for the time being does anyone have any tips or tricks to help clear it up or least make it a bit better.

She eats/drinks from a stainless steel bowl that are cleaned 3x per day. We wipe her lips/chin after she drinks. In talking to the vet their suggestion was to clean with an antibacterial soap and then put on a human pimple cream with 5% benzoyl peroxide (?spelling). I don't really see much difference and the problem is she plays so rough dragging her chin on the carpet that they tend to open up and bleed a little.

On another forum someone recommended adding powder Vit. C to her food and dab the pimples with Listerine. I haven't tried this yet.

Yeah, she'll out grow it. Rosco had some pimples. They went on their own with time.

Does she rub or chew on anything plastic? t's pretty common for puppy acne to be a result of something like crate chewing (corners of the plastic, or pushing their face through the metal on the bars to chew on that). Shovelling along the carpet might also be a contributing factor as bacteria can still get in.
