Mr accident prone did it again

Question:
He did it again. Hurt himself, and tomorrow morning back at the vet.
He was playing in the snow, all fine and dandy, he found a chunk of ice. Tosses it up in the air, and it hits him. Well inside he is not opening his right eye. It is watering, and it is bothering. I called the E vet because my vet is closed. They said to put a cone on him, and to flush his eye. Every 30 mins to put a cold iced towel on it until tomorrow.
I think he damaged it. He won't stop trying to paw at it, hurts him. He is sleeping, so his eye is closed.
Poor guy, never catching a break, always hurting himself, or sick.....

oh my dog Rottielover, what are the odds ! Poor clumsey Harley ! You really should get a vet that gives you the 10 th visit free.

Answer:
Poor guy and poor you. It sounds like it may be a long night. Keeping the room dark may help as he may be sensitive to the light.

Answer:
Awww, poor Harley . Lotsa hugs from Tommy and us, we'll keep our fingers crossed that's it's just a temporary hurt and will feel better tomorrow .

Answer:
Aww, Harley....

He is most dangerous to himself I think, Rottielover, im glad Mr.Accident prone is with you. And not someone who wouldnt think twice about his accidents and leave him be.

Answer:
Aww, Rottielover! He really can't seem to catch a break. Poor guy was just having some fun, too. it's a minor irritation and doesn't bug him long.

Answer:
It has been 5 hours, and still not opening the eye. It is still tearing and bothering him. I am actually really worried. He has had minor irritations before( dust) or other stuff, but nothing to cause something like this.
He is still sleeping, and when I brought him outside to pee, he dug his head in the snow.
I hope he did not damage his cornea
Thank you guys, I will give him kisses from you all

Answer:
Aww Poor baby! I hope he feels better soon. Maybe a good night's rest will make him good as new.

Answer:
Hopefully whatever is in his eye, will work it's way out. When I had a woodchip in my eye, I used a homeopathic remedy called "eyebright", good luck.

Answer:
Poor Harley....he has to be the most accident prone dog ever. I really hope it is nothing too serious. Hugs to you both

Answer:
Poor dear! Scratched corneas can really hurt! But the vet will get you something gooey and comforting to put in there tomorrow, Harley I hope you both get some sleep tonight, Rottielover!

Answer:

Answer:
Poor sweet boy . Good luck with the vet .

Answer:
Poor Harley, I sure hope it is nothing too major, good luck at the vet.

Why is it always the boys ????

Answer:
Harley, you're making your mommy sick with worry. Maybe he should start wearing protective gear, including a hockey helmet with a cage.....good luck. I hope it's only a scratch.

Answer:
Ok...update, this morning he woke up as good as new, but had a tech look at it anyways, being a worry wart mommy. There was a little scratch, but she said what I did was great, flushing out his eye, and ice on it.
