Upset Tummy
Question: Hi, Fairly new to this forum so hope there is someone who can shed some light on what I am going through with my puppy. She is a 4 month old ****zu and her name is Lily. For the last couple mornings she has been dry heaving and then when something does come out its a yellow bile. I had her to the vet the other day and expressed my concern before she had her rabbie shot. The vet said it could be just something she had eaten. The day folloeing her shot she was fine, then for the last 2 days she has started it again. She is a little lathargic first thing but she picks up in about an hour after her heaving session. Her stool is normal and she does eat and drink. Any ideas of what could be going on? Thanks Linny Answer: Better take her back to the vet. Cindy Answer: Throwing up bile in the morning is usually because of an empty stomach. It can either be helped by moving the evening meal closer to bed time, or changing foods. Usually dogs on foods with a lot of digestive aids end up digesting too quickly, leaving their stomachs empty for too long. (A lot of dogs on Nutro seem to have that problem...). If you need help picking a (better) food, let us know. Answer: Hi,, Thanks for the information about feeding Lily to early in the evening. We did notice however that we gave her her regular dose of Dewormer and she hasn't vomited since. I wonder if maybe she could have had intestinal worms. But I would appericate it if you could give a couple of names of different foods. I love forums because they can be so helpful, Thanks for the advise. Linny Answer: There is lots of good information in the food forum here. What are you feeding Lily? Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
