Sprains in dogs

Question:
I have a 100 lb, 2 year old chocolate lab, and her two middle toes
on her right paw are very swelled up, and the toes are sore, I took out for a run today, and when we came back home, she was fine, but at 10:00pm, we noticed her limping a bit and it was inflammed, I gave her an aspirin and iced it, should I wait t'il morning to bring her in?

We're having similar problems here, with the snow trying to melt during the day and freezing again at night. It gets crusty and rotten and the dogs are constantly breaking through while playing. We've had 3 sprains this week...

Certainly if it's not better soon, I'd bring her in--mild sprains will resolve in a day or two. Are you sure it's a sprain and not an infection or abrasion of some sort?
