Question:
We have a 13 year old sheltie named Taffy, that stopped eating while we were away for a week. We really noticed her weight loss. The dog sitter said she just slept a lot. When we came home she ate a bit for the first day then stopped. She has vomitted the few times she tried to eat. She will still drink water. We have tried different kinds of food but she won't eat anything. She has a really hard time getting up once she lays down. She can still make it down stairs but no longer go up the stairs; we have to carry her. We know that she is getting on in age, doesn't hear well, but can still see. How long do Shelties live? Any suggestions on what I can do to entice her to eat would be great?
