My dog has as swollen nose!
Question: Hi there, It has been a strange evening with our boy Charlie- yellow lab almost one year old. First we notice him licking his privates incessantly- upon inspection we do not find any obvious problems. Now we come home after being away for a couple of hours and he has a swollen nose and has thrown up his dinner and raw carrot treat. He is still drinking and eating and wagging his tail- but he is unusually subdued- although it is his bedtime- he sleeps with our daughter and is all snuggled in the for the night. He does not have a temperature. Any ideas- perhaps a bee sting- we can't see anything and his mouth and nose are not sore. An allergy- what's up? Thanks for your input Answer: If you suspect a bee/wasp sting, I would keep a very close eye on him. If his face starts to swell up then you need to get him to a vet asap. Other than that, it could be allergies. What are you feeding him? Answer: Hi there! Thanks Rainbow for the reply. We have been keeping a close eye on him- the swelling is gone and he looks back to normal but is still not his boisterous self- yet still eating and drinking- we are thinking now it must have been something he ate- we found out this am when our 10 year old son woke up that he gave Charlie 7 snausage treats yesterday. That could do it. If Charlie doesn't perk up by tomorrow or there are nay symptoms we will take him in to see our vet. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
