Question:
My Rat Terrier has a lot of black pigment spots all over his body,
including his mouth. Within the last month, a new black spot formed on
the bottom of his mouth. It looks like the rest of his skin, but my
vet said it's uncommon for adult dogs to form new pigment spots. My
vet looked at it and said she didn't think it was melanoma, but she
told me to keep an eye on it. It's not raised at all, but I'm
wondering if I should get a second opinion. Any thoughts?
