Doberman with leg problem
Question: Hello Everyone! I have a question. I have 3 Doberman. 2 Male and 1 Female. Well over the winter my 2 boys got into a fight and a few weeks later one of my males would hold up his back right leg. He has been to the vet and had x rays done and the vet feels something might be inflamed. So he put him on dermamax. Anti-inflammatory. I have now noticed that after walking for a short time he has to sit. Just wondering if anyone might have any input??? Answer: So I assume the xray showed nothing was broken? What did your vet say about it? Is he in pain if you palpate it? Answer: And make sure to palpate knee, foot and hip. Could be a ruptured ligament or could be a break or a dislocate that didn't show on the xrays. Me? I'd be back at the Vet and likely asking asking for an orthopaedic consult seeing as this happened in the winter and it's now April with no obvious healing happening. If it was simply inflammation it should have settled down within a few weeks. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
