Question:
When do I know he is cured of his cold? His third eye lid still shows but that film isn't there anymore. He's still taking meds for a few more days.


We just put Molly on the meds as she has been sneezing consistently since he had been put on the meds. The vet said this would be a good as a precautionary measure.

I am guessing he has upper respiratory (URI)? He should be better by the time his antibiotics are finished, if not the vet may switch him to a stronger med. When his 3rd eyelids disappear, and he no longer has discharge from the eyes or nose, then he is probably better.

Well he did not have any discharge from his eyes/nose...just sneezing a lot. The vet said we caught before it got to that stage...is it possible for the third eyelid to show when they are tired?

It's possible, but usually the third eyelid showing means they are not feeling well. He should feel better soon though, especially since you caught it early. Sometimes it can take a few weeks for kitties to be 100% better after URI.
