Hi,

I have a new puppy (who is a puggle) and he has about 1/8th inch bubble that is pink and puffy coming out of the corner of his eye. We are going to the vet tomorrow but I was just curious if anyone had that similar situation with their dogs? It is only out of one eye and it is the eye that is slightly more teary than the other. Any ideas? It doesnt seem to be bothering him at all....???

Please anything to help my peice of mind until tomorrow...

Is it on the eye itself, or on the skin around the eye? My old dog had a wart on the skin near her eye. It was fine, but we had to watch it to make sure it wasn't growing or irritating the eye at all.

I know pugs and pug mixes can be predisposed to eye troubles because their eyes are so round and "buggy". I hope it is nothing serious, good luck at the vet.

THats probably cherry eye. Google it.

My dog has it. The sooner you get it fixed, the more likely that the surgery works. My dog is a rescue and his first home didn't do anything. he has had 2 surgeries in each eye and it came back both times.

Also, the longer they have cherry eye out, the greater the chance of the gland getting damaged (it's a tear gland). My dogs were damaged and now he has dry eye.

Sounds like cherry eye, which is a genetic defect.. Where you bought him should have been aware of that.
