Diazepam for cat
Question: My kitty is a 5yr old calico female - was born ferile and is very very nervous of new things - disappears if the door bell rings etc etc.......very very loving with only myself about and dear to me (a 75 yr old retired man living alone) I have to move over 500 miles and am very worried about her on the drive......9 hours is a long time. I have a carry cage for her but if I let her out she may well hide in amongst the luggage etc etc and will be terrified if I have to grab her and put her back in to travel. Is it safe to give her 3/4mg of Bromazepam orally - I have no vet close to my place in rural Canada but I do have one 3mg pill and would quarter it for her. I feel sure it is safe but would appreciate warning if I am endangering her Peter Answer: Welcome to Pet.ca. As we are not Vets on this forum, we cannot prescribe medication doses. If you have concerns regarding correct medication doses, you should call the nearest Vet to get their advise, if you are not able to make a vist. This thread will now be closed.
