Question:
Four days ago my 7 year old lab cross started drooling thick moucous. He was lethargic and unwilling to eat or drink. He was able to swollow water easily when I put it in his mouth. His moucous membranes were pale and dry. The next day he seemed better. He was moving around more and drinking. Now this morning he is lethargic and his neck feels swollen on both sides. He is not drooling, but when he swollows he gulps. The only thing he will eat is slush that I made from turkey broth. His mucous membranes are dry and pink. He shows no discomfort when I palpate his neck. My vets office is closed until Tuesday. I don't know what to do.

I had a G.S whose neck got enlarged and while he didn't have too much trouble breathing his gums were dry etc. Gulped water. Rushed him to the vet.
He ate couple bumble bees. Benedryle shot - got better. Take to vet at once..
