Purina One question

Question:
My dog Bailey has officially recovered from Pancreatitis, and I appreciate everyone's comments and help from before. I am so relieved and happy. I do have one more question. When I first started adding Bailey's regular dry dogfood in with her rice and boiled chicken (very small amounts at first)...she began having diarrea. The food was Purina One. So, I was afraid she might be relapsing. So i started over with the rice and chicken and began again with a different dog food a week and a half later just in case it was actually a food allergy. This one is called Nutra Ultra. This one has been fine. and she is now only eating this food. A friend of mine had to switch her dog food from Purina One to another because of an allergy as well. I think her dog was itching a lot or something. My dog didn't have any problem with it until this point. I was just curious if this is common with the Purina One brand or just a coincidence. I am looking on the internet too, but I thought someone here was bound to have heard something.
Thanks!

Answer:
YES - Purina, Pedigree and any other very cheap, low quality foods can cause all kinds of allergies. Many dogs do not deal well with the high corn and grain fillers put in these foods. The digestive system of dogs is not made to process this kind of food.

Nutro is much better food!

Answer:
wow... i had no idea purina one was considered a cheap, low quality dog food. When my dog was a puppy, that is the food the doctor gave me to give to her. Well, good to know... thanks.
